This course equips students with the necessary skills and knowledge to analyse current issues in the field of public relations (PR). This course improves students‟ abilities in several key areas, enabling them to:  understand traditional PR frameworks and recognize new influences and emerging developments in public relations theory and practice, appreciate the impact of social media and relationship management on public relations and appreciate the impact of PR and mainstream communications on organisations trying to achieve operational efficiency or gain advantage over competitors


The aim of this module is to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the theories, models and concepts behind PR planning and how to apply these to a range of situations. How to use tools as part of the PR planning process: Ways to create relevant PR programmes that helps deliver organizational goals and values. The students will also be able do a PR research and Analysis and Evaluation.

The module will enable students to develop a comprehensive insight in to both academic and professional perspectives of planning and researching in PR.

To Understand contemporary PR theories and ways they inter-relate to deliver successful PR plans.

Write and implement PR programs and evaluate their effectiveness against organizational goals and values.
