This module is composed by two unities that include: Microfinance and cooperative management.
At the end of this unity of cooperative management, the students will be able to:,
Define a cooperative,
State the principles of cooperative,
Describe different types of cooperative,
Distinguish cooperative and other kind of association,
Describe the potentialities and constraints to the cooperatives development,
Analyze different financial statements of a given cooperative
The Microfinance is designed to increase students’ understanding of the role of microfinance institutions (MFIs) and banks in providing financial services to poor and low-income customers in developing countries.
Students learn how the microfinance industry evolved and how it works.
They develop an understanding of the skills and techniques used by microfinance analysts, managers, and investors.
